Cody Brookshire has composed for and worked with groups including So Percussion, Great Noise Ensemble, the Athens Guitar Duo, Terminus Ensemble, the University of Georgia Bands, and the University of North Georgia String Orchestra. Distinctions include 1st place - 2014 Southeastern Composer's League Competition with Shrapnel for guitar trio, 1st place - 2015 ElectroBrass National Composition Competition with From Afar, Drawing Near for trumpet and electronics, 3rd place - 2013 NACUSA Young Composers Competition with Sonata for Oboe and Piano, and Semi-Finalist - 2013 American Prize in Composition with Slumbers Kiss Your Golden Eyes for flute, viola, and harp. His Harmonic Meditation, No. 1 appears on the 2014 SEAMUS Electroacoustic Miniatures album "Transients", and M3TA11UR6Y appears on the compilation album "Sonic Flux" released by the EMPiRES label. A new work for guitar duo, PRISM, will be released by the Athens Guitar Duo on Claudio Records in the Fall of 2015.
