Mission
The SCL is dedicated to the performance and promotion of new music by composers throughout the Southeastern United States.
Our Location
Member coverage includes AL, AR, DE, DC, FL, GA, KY, LA, MD, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA, and WV.
Membership & Dues
Eligibility
Membership is open to professional composers, educators, students, and new music enthusiasts currently residing in our 13 member states and Washington D.C.
Annual Dues
Standard Professional Membership is $40 per year. A discounted Student Membership is available for $15 per year. Dues support our annual forum and concert actions.

How Forums Work
Our annual forum is a multi-day conference hosted by a regional university. It features peer presentations, panel discussions, guest artists, and multiple concert blocks dedicated to performing new works by our members.
Calls for Scores
Ahead of the annual forum, we issue a Call for Scores specifying available instrumentation. Members submit their scores and audio samples online. A blind selection committee reviews submissions to build the forum concert roster.
